Kcee was born in Ajegunle, Lagos to a father called DJ. Kcee. He attended Central High school, Isolo and went on to University Of Nsukka where he graduated with a degree in Theatre Arts.
The ‘Limpopo’ master had no plans of becoming a musician but wanted to be a professional footballer as he played for Julius Berger and Puma football clubs locally.
Kcee’s rise to fame began when he won the Star Quest talent show in 2002 alongside Precious John, the duo used to be a group called KC Presh until they split after 12 years together.
Kcee is currently under Five Star music and owned by E-money (EmekaOkonkwo, his brother) who is the president and him the vice president.
