Chelsea 3 Roma 3: Eden Hazard Saves Stuttering Chelsea To Draw Roma (All Goals & Highlights Video)

Eden Hazard rescued Chelsea’s unbeaten start to the Champions League group stage after a dominant Roma had fought back from two goals down to lead in a pulsating game at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea were defensively catastrophic, alarm bells ringing amid rising panic, before relying on Eden Hazard to rescue them with the second of his two goals, averting a third successive defeat.
Chelsea remain in control of Group C but their 100 per cent record has gone and this was a far from perfect performance, although they did show the resilience to rally against a fine Roma side who threatened to overwhelm them in a pulsating, full-throttle attacking encounter.
Even though, as impressive as Roma were going forward, with their goals coming from former Manchester City players, this was another worryingly ragged performance from Chelsea – with their old manager Carlo Ancelotti watching from the stands – who now host Marco Silva’s high-flying Watford in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime and need to re-find themselves. They surrendered a two-goal lead and that would have infuriated manager Antonio Conte.
Two Premier League defeats, after the brilliance of winning away at Atletico Madrid in this competition, had turned the atmosphere around Chelsea; slipping again towards the edge of a state of affairs that always appears never too far away here: crisis.
