Does this mean he doesn't care?

Yesterday me and my boyfriend (been together for nearly a year) broke up. He ended things with me because of my behavior. He would call me everyday just to talk to me and sometimes we would talk for hours. But whenever i get angry at him on the phone, I hang up his call and he would try calling back but I would ignore his calls. I have been doing this for months and then he got fed up with me so he came over to talk to me and ended our relationship. When he was breaking up with me, he was sniffing and had tears streaming down his face but he played it cool while talking to me. And then this is what he said:

"Look, I dont hate you.. you didn't do anything thats bad like cheat on me. You are just so difficult. I tried being patient with you but you never changed your behavior. you're just so hard to please. But maybe im just not the right guy for you. And with social media.. Im not planning to delete you off facebook and instagram. But if you want to delete me, then thats your choice. I dont mind if you get another guy and if you upload pictures of you and him. I will be fine with it."

Wtf? Does this mean he doesn't care? He never cared about us and our relationship? If he let me go that easily, that means he never loved me? He used to say he loves me everyday.

Were they all lies?

I thought people that loves someone wouldn't give up on them easily...
