Ycee calls out music executives for ‘raping artistes’ and profiting where they didn’t sow

He’s aimed his anger at music execs who according to him rip off artistes

Ycee has called out music executives running digital sharing companies for pocketing all artistes’ earnings to fund their lifestyle.

He particularly went in on Sony Music Entertainment West Africa General Manager, Michael Ugwu.

The Nigerian music star was also furious at how everyone knows about this but stay quiet instead of doing something to solve it.

Ycee’s anger was ignited Ugwu’s tweet which quoted the chorus of American rapper, Cassidy’s 2005 song, ‘I’m A Hustla’.

This led him to vent his thoughts about Ugwu and other music executives in the digital music distribution business.

Of course, Ycee wasn’t done with Ugwu – asking if he had milked any artistes lately.

He also went at a distribution company Ugwu connected to as an investor.

And Ycee believes Ugwu is only running Sony Music Entertainment West Africa to the ground.

He then went on to express his annoyance at people’s silence on the issue he’s venting about.
